Bodie is one of the most well known ghost towns in CA. Located near the NV border it is now a California State Park "in a state of arrested decay." Once a bustling gold mining town, it is now a stark reminder of days gone by. The road to Bodie closes when it snows. I happen to beat the rangers to the gate on this snowy day. Once in, they happily allowed me to photograph. You'll be hard pressed to find Bodie images in the snow. Except for here!
